McDonogh Firecracker Duals
Rules

1) The Firecracker Duals will be sanctioned by USA Wrestling and wrestlers will be
required to have a USA Wrestling card to participate.

2) Wrestlers entering grades 7-12 in the fall of 2010 will be allowed to participate in
the Firecracker Duals.

3) Each team will fill in the preliminary online roster by Monday, June 28th at
8:00 pm.

4) Weigh-in and skin check by teams will start at 4:30 pm on 6/29. There will be a
3 lb. weight allowance from scratch weight.  106,115,122,128, etc. on 6/29.  An
additional pound allowance on 6/30 (+4).

5) Officials will be at the weigh-in to do a complete skin check.  Wrestlers with
treated or questionable skin conditions must have the NFHS Physicians release
form to participate.  Maryland Wrestling Officials will NOT accept any other notes.

6) Dual meet ties will be broken according to the rulebook criteria.

7) The team with the best record in a pool will be determined the winner.  If there is
a tie for records between two teams, the team with the head to head win will be
determined the winner.  If there is a tie between three teams, the team with the
biggest difference in “points for” versus “points against” within their pool wins and
the smallest difference finishes last.  If there is still a tie, we will go back to the rule
book criteria using all duals wrestle.  Example: team with most falls in all duals in the
pool, team with most the tech falls in all duals in the pool, etc.

8) Each team will be responsible for providing a scorekeeper for each dual that will
sit at the score table.
